프랑스의 현행 환경법은 2008년 7월 24일에 최종 개정된 후, 발효 중입니다.  명칭은 <Code de l'environnement>입니다.

2008년 10월 1일과, 2014년 1월 1일부터 발효될 조항들이 대기 중에 있습니다.

프랑스 환경법은 <Partie législative>와 <Partie réglementaire>를 합하여 목차만 해도 38장(46줄/쪽, A4 용지) 정도 됩니다.

<Partie législative>의 목차만도 10장 정도 입니다.

당연한 것이지만 불어판이 공식적인 권한을 가지고 있고, 영어판은 단순히 정보 제공용이며 개정시에도 한참 후(몇 년 걸리기도 합니다)에 업그레이드 됩니다.
